Whelan questions value of Premier League plan

We want more answers to an awful lot of questions. We want to hear what the Premier League have to say about our questions and we want to look long and hard at the answers when we get them.

'We have been told that we can expect 4million per club - maybe 4.5million. But we all know that money is going to go straight to players - and their agents - demanding ever more the more money clubs make.

'You hear managers say that they don't want another game and you hear them also saying they can do without international games, such as friendlies, so we have to ask ourselves, is it really worth it?'

The Football Association will get the first chance to quiz the Premier League over the plans at today's meeting of the FA's Professional Game Board.

The PGB is chaired by Football League chairman Lord Brian Mawhinney and also includes Premier League chairman Sir David Richards and chief executive Richard Scudamore.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Ex-Gunit Member Disses Young Buck! Bow Wow Gets In ...

OK, there are too many idiots online to focus on one, but I am just going to say. If you are an idiot, stop being an idiot and get a job or just find a coffin to crawl inside of. I don't mean anybody on this site or even some “rap site." I mean, the idiots with nothing better to do in life.

RANDOM QUOTES

A Black minister that regards Obama as a “House Negro":

"Don't trust any Negro to be your leader that hasn't been in jail…if the White man ain't put him in jail he ain't qualified to be your leader." (What a clown thing to say! Does that apply to Whites, Latinos and Asians? What if it's a Black person putting you in jail? This is why I'm not in church now.)

MF DOOM AGAIN…IMPOSTERS?

I told you this underground rumor months and years ago! Thank MF Doom, the great rapper, slaps a “doom metal face" mask on one of the homies and sends them out to do concerts for him.

With gift of life, organ recipient also got new spirit

Some days Ronald Griffin felt numb as a machine pumped blood through his sickly, tired heart.

That heart absorbed countless embarrassments from drinking from separate water fountains and sitting on the back of buses. It was bruised from the pain transporting dead bodies and lost souls on Navy ships.

After a 13-year battle with congestive heart failure, it was about ready to quit.

When ‘Digital Natives’ Go to the Library

Also, information doesn't always “flow freely." Ask any student who has been assigned a topic for a paper that requires the use of scholarly sources how easily and freely what they need is free (and easily found) on the net. One final point: as there is always a buck to be made, information exclusivity isn't going away any time soon.

Gulf News readers come to the aid of Australian rider whose bike went ...

Dubai: An Australian rider whose world tour came to a halt after his bike allegedly went missing in Ajman has been offered a helping hand from a number of Gulf News readers, one of whom has offered to donate his own bike. Allan Roberts’ motorbike went missing on Friday in Ajman as he was on the UAE leg of a world tour that had taken him 65,000 kilometres in 37 countries over three continents. His next stop was going to be Iran, following which he was planning to ride all the way to Australia. Eric Pereira, a Dubai based businessman, said he decided to donate his Honda Africa Twin XRV 650 to Allan Roberts after reading Roberts’ story. Roberts owned an XRV 750. .

A family affair

As it happens, her birthday falls, appropriately, on Valentine's Day, February 14. And while the notion of "a sweetheart" has long since been reclaimed by pragmatism and the (considerable) pleasure and (occasional) pain of a long-term relationship, we are mutually united each Valentine's Day by manic affection for our first-born. Love is in the air.

Note Ron Paul

McCain builds momentum as we head into the weekend. He gains former Rudy backer and ex-Massachusetts Governor Paul Cellucci (and decides to make Romney sweat in his home state) and also nabs former Rudy advisor Steve Forbes. (Fiscal conservatives can argue whether Forbes or McCain advisor Phil Gramm would make a better Treasury Secretary.) Finally, the McCain team advises the media that in the excruciatingly complicated Louisiana caucuses (in which an uncommitted pro-life slate initially won), the delegates have now selected McCain. He nabs 41 of 47 of the state's delegates.

Little by little the pieces fall into place. Looking at the latest polling I see Mitt Romney leading only in Massachusetts, Colorado and Utah. In many Red states he runs third to MIke Huckabee. It is quite possible Huckabee will gain more delegates than Romney on Tuesday.

KOIN NEWS 6

While most homeowners would have no problem picking up a gallon of paint at the hardware store to paint a room in their house, tackling the exterior is an entirely different matter. Creating an attractive, long-lasting paint job requires the equipment, knowledge and skill of a professional for best results.
